Taffy

Taffy  (Relief Society Book)

3 cups sugar
½ cup vinegar
2 tsp butter
½ cup water

Boil together until candy turns brittle when dropped in cold water.  Add vanilla.  Pour into buttered platter.  Turn in edges.  When cooked enough, pull until white and brittle.  (flavoring may be added).
