Granola Bars (LuAnn)

3 cups granola
1/3 cup brown sugar
¼ cups butter
3 T honey
(Add pecans, walnuts, or peanuts for variety—finely chopped).

Peanut Butter Candy Bars

Peanut Butter Candy

1 ½ cup peanut butter
2 pkgs graham crackers
3 ¾ cup powdered sugar
2 cubes margarine
8 oz chocolate melted

Pat into pan.  Refrigerate.  Spread melted chocolate over (use about 1 ½ pkg graham crackers—until it cleans sides of mixer).

Mag. Recipe:
2 cups powdered sugar
2 cups graham cracker
1 cup peanut butter

1 ½ plus 2 TB melted butter

Peanut Butter Candy

Peanut Butter Candy

1—18 oz. jar creamy peanut butter (2 cups)
1 square butter
2 cups powdered sugar (use a bit more if needed)
1 tsp. vanilla
10 graham crackers

Crush graham crackers until fine, add to the above, mix all together until nice and smooth.  Put in dripper and press to about ½ inch or less thickness.
Melt ½ lb.  Hershey’s sweet chocolate bar in double boiler (not to hot, melt slowly).  When it is melted enough to spread, spread over the candy adding chopped nuts or coconut.  Let cool and cut into squares.

“I crush my nuts up very fine and spread them on the bottom of the dripper.  The candy comes up very nice and still has a nutty taste.”

Nutty Cremes

Nutty Cremes  (Teri Brown)

1 cup eagle brand milk
1 lb powdered sugar
½ lb. butter
1 tsp flavoring

Pour into buttered dripper pan.  Freeze 1 hour until firm.  Cut and roll into ball.  Roll in chopped nuts or melted dipping chocolate.

Refrigerate until eaten.

Toffee (Eileen)

Eileen’s Toffee

2 cups sugar
1 lb butter
½ cup water
1 TB karo syrup
optional: 1 cup chopped almonds

Combine all ingredients in heavy pan.  When sugar is dissolved, put lid on and boil 1 minute.  Stir constantly and cook until toffee is the color of a brown paper bag.  Pour out on buttered cookie sheet.  As soon as it starts to cool, mark it to be cut later
Nuts should be on cookie sheet when candy is poured over them.
