Pie Crust

Pie Crust

1 cup lard (1/2 lb.)
3 cups flour
1 egg
1 TB butter
1 tsp salt

Mix lard, flour, butter, and salt with a pastry blender.  Beat egg until frothy and add liquid.  Toss lightly with a fork as you add liquid.  Turn onto pastry cloth and press with rolling pin until mixture clings together.  Press into a loaf and chill.
