Apple Pie Filling

Apple Pie Filling (Marge Johnson)

 Process for 20  (40 minutes in canner)???
Makes 6 quarts (makes more)

1 cup cornstarch
4 ½ cups sugar
10 cups water
4 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
3 TB lemon juice
1 tsp salt


Cook filling until thick and then add apples and cook a while until gas leaves apples.  I made 1 ½ recipes and did 14 quarts
