Ribbon Sandwiches

Ribbon Sandwiches (Eileen)

4 sandwich loaves-sliced lengthwise (chilled)
I white, I wheat, I green, I pink (or 4 white)
Butter or margarine, softened
I c. of 3 different fillings
2 pkg (8oz) Philadelphia cream cheese
1/3 c. milk

Stack bread lengthwise--trim crusts.  Butter layers.  Spread w/ filling and add another color layer.  Continue until ½ is made with 3 different fillings.  Beat cream cheese and milk until fluffy so complete loaf can be iced.  Place on tray using 2 spatulas.  Cover loosely until ready to slice and serve.  Keep chilled.  Garnish w/ parsley.

Cheese filling
1 5 oz jar American cheese
1 3 oz cream cheese
1 T mayonnaise
1 c. minced pimento

beat until smooth.  Can use cheese whiz to replace American cheese

Ham filling
½ c. deviled or finely chopped ham
¼ c. mayonnaise
2 T. Sandwich spread
1 tsp prepared mustard
1 TB chopped gream onion

combine and mix thoroughly

Egg Salad Filling
4 hard cooked eggs (chopped)
1/3 c. ripe olives
2 T. chopped onion or chives
2 tsp. prepared mustard
¼ c. mayonnaise
1 T. sheds dressing
½ salt


combine all ingredients and chill
