Mom's White Bread

Mom’s White Bread

3 c. flour
1 TB sugar
1 TB shortening
1 tsp salt
1 pkg. yeast
1 c. liquid (1/2 c. scalded milk with shortening and ½ c. cold water)


scald milk with shortening and pour over salt and sugar add cold water.  Add yeast when luke warm.  Stirr in flour and knead.  Bake at 350
