Cardamon Buns

Cardamon Buns

Scald:
1 qt. milk, then cool
1 pound fat (veg or butter)

3 c. sugar
1 TB salt
3-4 yeast cakes (1 cake=2 ¼ tsp)
1 TB ground cardamon

beat together and add flour to make soft dough (let rise) then add 1 oz. Cardamon seed (add more flour and let rise again).  Pinch off bits and let rise again and place in greased pan.  When rolls have raised, crush with following mixture:

1 egg beaten with fork, ¼ c. sugar, and 2 tsp cinnamon (mixed together).

Bake when well raised in oven, 350 for 15 min and 300 for 5 min.
